PMAC'S C.P.P. PROGRAM AND THE C.P.M.
The Board of Directors for the Institute for Supply Management on January 17, 2002, approved the granting of the Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) designation to individuals who have earned the Certified Professional Purchaser (C.P.P.) designation through the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC). The proposal that was passed states that ISM will issue C.P.P.s the C.P.M. designation without having to take and pass the exam portion of the C.P.M. requirements for a period of two years.
Any C.P.P. submitting an application postmarked after January 31, 2004 will be required to meet all of the current C.P.M. requirements, including taking and passing all four modules of the Exam.
Each C.P.P. who wishes to obtain the C.P.M. must complete a C.P.M. Original and Original Lifetime application, which is available here: Certified Purchasing Manager Application.
Each candidate will be required to submit proof of having current C.P.P. accreditation along with the appropriate member or non-member application fee and documentation of full-time professional supply management work experience in order to accumulate applicable experience toward the Lifetime C.P.M. Certification requirement of 18 years.
